Matt has never been able to stop talking. Just ask his pre-k classmate who once called him "too talkable." He won his school's speech competition in middle school, began speech and debate in high school, and even started a podcast with his friends before his senior year.

In college, Matt hosted a 2-hour radio slot every week to talk sports and quickly began broadcasting basketball games for the station. He would broadcast nearly every game from 2018 to 2020, including trips to Mohegan Sun, the Wells Fargo Center, and Madison Square Garden.

In November of 2020, Matt started The Flex podcast to cover Providence men's basketball with former co-broadcaster Joe Haughey. In December of 2021, Matt started appearing on the Big East Coast Bias podcast. In March of 2022, Matt had multiple radio appearances to discuss Providence basketball.

In August of 2022, Matt joined the Pats Pulpit Podcast alongside Pat Lane on the Patriot Nation and Instant Reaction shows.

In October of 2022, Matt founded the Road to the Garden Podcast with twice-weekly episodes covering the Big East.

Podcasting

Road to the Garden

Matt started the Road to the Garden Podcast with fellow writer Tommy Godin.

The show ramped up to the start of the season with a group of preview episodes titled 12 Days to Big Eastmas and began the 2022-23 season with episodes every Sunday and Wednesday.

The Flex

Matt has spent the last two seasons covering Providence men's basketball alongside Joe Haughey.

With episodes for every single game, Matt and Joe provide the highest-quality analysis of the Providence Friars out there. The podcast reached new highs in its second season, hitting over 100 downloads per episode and over 900 followers on Twitter.

Pats Pulpit

Matt began with the Pats Pulpit Podcast in August of 2022, covering the team twice a week. Along with co-host Pat Lane, Matt joined the Patriot Nation and Instant Reaction shows, providing coverage and interviews during the week and first thoughts after every Patriots game.

Broadcasting

From 2018-2020, Matt spent three seasons broadcasting Providence men's basketball on WDOM, PC's student radio station.

Below are samples of Matt's work handling both play-by-play and color duties.
